Treshaun
Masculine
Treshaun is overwhelmingly a boys’ name — 875 boys against 5 girls since 1880.
English has no ordinary word for a third-born child. Latin had Tertius, Japanese had Saburo, Akan has a name for it, and English has nothing but the card-player's trey. Birth order dropped out of European naming and never came back.

Our story of Treshaun
Birth-order naming is common across the world and effectively absent from modern European practice. Rome numbered sons and daughters: Quintus, Sextus, Septimus, Octavius, Decimus, Prima, Secunda, Tertia. Japan did the same with Ichiro, Jiro, Saburo and Shiro. Akan gives every child a name for the day of the week, and a further set for birth order. Yoruba names the child born after twins. Europe abandoned all of it, apparently in the middle ages, when saints' names and family names took over the whole field, and it has never returned; the only trace is the ordinal in Henry VIII and the American Junior and III, both of which record the repetition of a name rather than a position among siblings. What replaced birth order was the ancestor, and a name now says who a child is descended from rather than where they arrived in the queue.

Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Treshaun's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Vaden climbed just as high around 1941, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Vaden's path sketches the road Treshaun is walking now.
Treshaun sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
