Questions people ask
Does my family need an account to vote?
No. They tap the link, answer, and they're done — no app, no sign-up, no password. It works on any phone and takes about twenty seconds. You don't need an account either; the link is the only thing that opens the vote.
Can anyone see my shortlist without the link?
No. A family vote is never listed, indexed or searchable. Only someone holding the link can open it, and you can close it at any time.
Will I know who voted for which name?
Yes, if voters say who they are — they pick a relation like mom, sister or friend, and their names appear beside what they loved, for your eyes only. Anyone who prefers to stay anonymous simply skips that step.
How many names should I put in?
Two to six. Past six, most people stop reading carefully and start choosing whichever name they recognize, which tells you about familiarity rather than taste.
Can I add or remove names after I've shared the link?
Yes. Votes already cast stay where they are. With one name at a time, anyone who has already voted can come back and answer just the new names. With two at a time, the new names appear for voters who have not answered yet — people who already finished are not asked to rank again.
Does the family's answer decide the name?
No, and it isn't meant to. A vote shows you which name people quietly agree on, which one divides them, and anything they would never say to your face. You keep the decision.
