The story of Julieann
Roman aristocratic families claimed divine or Trojan ancestry as a matter of course, and the Julii claimed both: descent from Iulus, also called Ascanius, the son of Aeneas, who was the son of Venus. Julius Caesar made the claim publicly in a funeral oration for his aunt, and Augustus, his adopted heir, built a whole program of legitimacy on it, with a temple to Venus Genetrix, the ancestress, in his forum. Virgil's Aeneid, written under Augustus, gives the story its canonical form and takes care to have Jupiter prophesy the family's future. The month Quintilis was renamed July for Caesar in 44 BC and Sextilis renamed August for his heir in 8 BC. So two of the twelve months carry the names of one family that traced itself to a goddess, and the claim was believed enough to be politically useful.

Latin Iulius, a Roman clan name
Julieann joins Julie, the French form of Julia, to Ann. Julia is the feminine of the Roman clan name Iulius, whose origin is not established; the family derived it from Iulus, a name of Ascanius, son of Aeneas. Ann is Hebrew channah, favor. The American record collapses the space between the two elements. The peak is 1969.
