Breasia
Feminine
Irish Brian has no traditional feminine. Brianna was made in the twentieth century by putting a Latin ending on an Irish name, and it worked so well that it now outranks most genuinely old women's names. Breasia is built on the front of it.

The story of Breasia
Irish naming did not produce feminine forms of men's names the way Latin and Slavic naming did, so Brian, one of the oldest and most used Irish men's names, had no female counterpart for a thousand years. Brianna and Breanna were made in America in the twentieth century by adding the Latinate -a and -anna endings, and they entered the top hundred within two decades. The same process produced Shauna, Erin as a girl's name, Kerry, Casey and Rylee. What is worth noticing is that the manufactured feminines are now far commoner in the United States than most of the genuinely traditional Irish women's names, which are hard to spell and harder to say: Sinead, Aoife, Niamh, Siobhan, Grainne, Roisin. The American stock is Irish by association and English by construction.
Meaningnot established
Not established
Breasia has no inherited etymology. It joins a Bre- opening, taken from Breanna or Brianna, to the -asia ending harvested from Asia. Brian, behind the opening, has a genuinely unknown meaning; the readings offered for it, including noble and hill, are guesses. The peak is 2000.

The Electra test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Breasia's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Electra climbed just as high around 1910, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Electra's path sketches the road Breasia is walking now.
Breasia sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
