Zyonna
Feminine
Zion started as one hill and kept widening. It named a ridge in Jerusalem, then the temple mount, then the whole city, then the people of Israel, then the promised land, and through gospel music and Rastafari it came to mean Africa and heaven. Few place names have expanded that far.

The story of Zyonna
The expansion happened in stages and each is visible in the text. In Samuel, Zion is the stronghold David takes and renames the City of David, a specific fortified ridge. In the Psalms it is the temple mount and the place God dwells. In the prophets it is Jerusalem entire, and then the people addressed as daughter of Zion. By the Second Temple period it means the whole religious and national community. Christian usage took it as a figure for the church and for heaven, which is how it entered English hymnody in quantity. African American spirituals used it for freedom and for the promised land, and Rastafari, drawing on the same tradition, used it for Africa and specifically Ethiopia, against Babylon. So one hill has become, at various points, a fortress, a city, a nation, a church, a continent and an afterlife.

Spellings are grouped by a fixed rule that folds interchangeable English spellings of one sound (ck/k, ph/f, x/ks, a non-initial y for i) and keeps vowels apart, so Sean and Shawn stay separate names.
