Keasia
Feminine
Asia entered American naming as a girl's name in the 1970s, and within twenty years it had stopped being a name and become an ending. Keasia, Deasia, Tyasia and Neasia all take a prefix and attach the continent to it. A place name had been reanalysed as a suffix.

Our story of Keasia
A suffix is born when speakers stop hearing a word as a word. Asia was a place name used as a girl's name for about twenty years, and then something changed in how it was processed: parents began treating the final -asia as an available ending, the way -ayla and -aliyah became available endings later. The test for whether that has happened is productivity. If you find the ending attached to prefixes that could never have meant anything, the reanalysis is complete, and Keasia, Deasia and Tyasia pass that test easily. The interesting part is the timing. Asia peaked as a name in the 1990s and the -asia compounds peaked around 2001, a few years behind, which is the normal lag: a name has to be common before its tail is worth borrowing, and by the time the tail is being borrowed the name itself is on the way down.
Meaningnot established
Not established
Keasia has no inherited etymology. It joins the American prefix Ke- to the -asia ending harvested from Asia, itself in use as a given name from the 1970s. Neither part means anything on its own in this context: Ke- is a productive sound with no content, and the continent name has been detached from its reference. Asia's own origin is Akkadian asu, to rise, used of the direction of the sunrise. The peak is 2001.

The Jolyn test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Keasia's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Jolyn climbed just as high around 1952, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Jolyn's path sketches the road Keasia is walking now.
Keasia sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.

The trade-off
- Asia works as a short form and is a name in its own right.
- The rhythm is the standard modern three-syllable shape.
- The stress falls clearly on the middle syllable.
- The spelling gives no guidance on the zh sound in the middle.
- Keisha, Keasha and Keasia are constantly mixed up.
- The 2001 peak dates it to a narrow window.
