The story of Kamdon
Camden became an American boys' name in the 2000s and rose steeply, along with Camryn, Cameron and Kamden. The K spelling arrived immediately, and the -don ending appeared shortly afterward on the model of Landon, Brandon and Braden. Kamdon therefore has two respellings stacked, and its 2016 peak is late — which is the usual position for the most heavily marked variant in a family, arriving after the plainer versions have become common.
