Jaiden
Feminine
Jaiden is given to both — 8,272 girls and 33,302 boys since 1880. See Jaiden as a boy nameSee other names given to both
Jaiden belongs to the largest rhyme family in modern American naming, the one built on -aden: Aiden, Braden, Caden, Hayden, Jaden, Kaden, Zaden. What the girls' side shows is that when such a family crosses to girls, it burns brighter and shorter, and Jaiden's female curve is a fast rise and a faster fall.

Our story of Jaiden
Rhyme families reproduce by supplying an ending and letting parents choose the front. This one is the most successful in American history: it took a genuine Irish name, Aidan, extracted its second syllable, and generated a dozen new names that between them have covered more American children than most royal dynasties. When a family this large moves to girls it does so late, and it does so briefly. Jaiden reached its best year on the female side in 2003, at almost exactly the moment the boys' side was climbing hardest, and it fell away within a decade while the boys' names kept going. The pattern is consistent across unisex names: the girls' curve is narrower, because once a name reads as a girls' name too, the parents of boys begin to leave, and the parents of girls follow them out.
Meaningnot established
Not established
There is no inherited etymology. Some members of the -aden family are genuine names with real histories, Aidan from Irish aodh, fire, and Hayden from an English place name, but the family as a whole is a rhyme rather than a lineage, and Jaiden is one of the members with no source. The Hebrew gloss thankful, offered for the spelling Jaden and connected to the biblical Jadon, is a retrofit rather than a derivation.

Spellings are grouped by a fixed rule that folds interchangeable English spellings of one sound (ck/k, ph/f, x/ks, a non-initial y for i) and keeps vowels apart, so Sean and Shawn stay separate names. It errs towards splitting: a family here is never larger than the truth. SSA national data, 2025. Method

The Eve test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Jaiden's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Eve climbed just as high around 1907, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Eve's path sketches the road Jaiden is walking now.
Jaiden sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
