The story of Jaeson
Jason was given to Chiron to raise, and Chiron is the centaur who taught medicine, hunting and music to a series of heroes, most importantly Asclepius, who became the god of healing. That makes the name's meaning fit its owner's education rather than his career, since Jason's story is about a voyage and a fleece and ends badly. The Greek root is productive: iatros is a physician, giving psychiatry, paediatrics, geriatrics and podiatry; iasis is a cure. Asclepius's daughters are Hygieia, health, from which hygiene, and Panacea, all-cure. Chiron himself is the exception among centaurs, who are otherwise violent and drunk, and he is finally wounded incurably by a poisoned arrow and gives up his immortality, which is why the teacher of healers cannot heal himself.
