The story of Willamina
Wilhelmina was queen of the Netherlands from 1890 to 1948 — fifty-eight years, through two world wars, and she refused to leave the Dutch government in exile alone. The name was well used in Dutch, German and Scottish records; Scotland used Williamina in particular. Willamina is a simplified American spelling and appears in the records recently as part of the general revival of long Victorian names.
