Taiden
Masculine
Taiden belongs to the largest rhyme family in the history of American naming. Aiden is genuinely Irish; Jayden, Brayden, Kayden, Hayden, Zayden and Taiden are what happened next. At its height around 2010 the family accounted for a share of American boys' names that no single name has ever held, and Taiden peaks in 2015, near the end of that run.

Our story of Taiden
The scale of this family is worth stating plainly, because it is unlike anything before it. Aidan entered the American top thousand in 1995. Within fifteen years its rhyme partners — Jayden, Brayden, Kayden, Hayden, Zayden, Caden and their two dozen spellings between them — were being given to something on the order of one in twenty American boys. No single name has ever reached that share; the family did it by dividing itself so finely that no individual member ever looked dominant. That is the trick, and it is worth understanding as a design rather than an accident: parents wanted a name that sounded current and was not shared by three boys in the class, and the family delivered both at once by supplying an unlimited number of near-identical options. Taiden is one of them, arriving late, when the sound was fully established and the supply of unused initials was running out.
Meaningnot established
Not established
The family's anchor has a meaning and this member does not. Aidan comes from Irish Aodhan, a diminutive of Aodh, the name of a Celtic fire god, so it reads as 'little fire'. Hayden is a genuine English surname. The rest — Jayden, Brayden, Kayden, Zayden, Taiden — have no documented source; they are the same ending with different initials, and the Ta- front carries no lexical content. Any gloss offered for Taiden is invented.

About 1 boy in 17,609 born in 2025 was given one of these spellings — against 1 in 113,872 for Taiden itself.
Spellings are grouped by a fixed rule that folds interchangeable English spellings of one sound (ck/k, ph/f, x/ks, a non-initial y for i) and keeps vowels apart, so Sean and Shawn stay separate names. It errs towards splitting: a family here is never larger than the truth. SSA national data, 2025. Method

The Barak test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Taiden's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Barak climbed just as high around 1970, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Barak's path sketches the road Taiden is walking now.
Taiden sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
