Silverio
Masculine · “Latin "of the forest”
Silverio is a forest name, and the forest is the reason English has the word savage. Latin silva, woodland, gave silvaticus, of the woods, which became French sauvage and English savage — so the word for cruelty began as the word for someone who lived among trees.

The story of Silverio
The silva family of names is one of the oldest continuously used in Italy: Silvius was said to be the name of the Alban kings, Rhea Silvia was the mother of Romulus and Remus, and Silvanus was worshipped at the boundary of cultivated land. Pope Silverius, who reigned briefly in 536 and died in exile, carried the name into the Church calendar. It stayed common in Italy and Spain, and reached America with Italian and Mexican immigration; the figures peak in 1940. The English cognate survives mostly in Sylvester and in the word sylvan, while the harsher descendant, savage, has traveled so far from its root that the connection is invisible.
Meaning
Latin "of the forest"
From Silverius, from silva, a wood or forest — the same root as Silvia, Silvanus, Silvester and the English words sylvan and silviculture. Silvanus was the Roman god of woods and fields. The shift of silvaticus, woodland-dwelling, into sauvage and savage happened in Latin's passage into French and records a settled society's view of people outside it, not anything about the word's origin.
