The story of Nehemias
Nehemiah was cupbearer to the Persian king Artaxerxes and got leave to return to Jerusalem, where he rebuilt the city walls against sustained opposition, working, the book says, with a weapon in one hand. Spanish and Portuguese Protestant naming took Nehemias up, and Spanish-speaking families brought it to America, where it is in current use.
Meaning

The Akhil test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Nehemias's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Akhil climbed just as high around 2003, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Akhil's path sketches the road Nehemias is walking now.
Nehemias sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
