Kadynce
Feminine · “a falling”
Kadynce is overwhelmingly a girls’ name — 988 girls against 6 boys since 1880.
This spelling replaces every ambiguous letter in Cadence with an unambiguous one — the C that could be soft becomes K, the E that could be anything becomes Y — and the result is harder to read, not easier. Respelling for clarity has a point past which it stops working.

The story of Kadynce
Cadence is a word about pace as much as about music. A marching cadence is the number of steps a minute; a rowing crew keeps one; a runner has one; and in speech it is the rise and fall of a voice, which is where the word started. All of it comes from the Latin for falling, because the original sense was the drop of the voice at the end of a sentence. The respelling is a separate story about English. Parents replace letters that can be read two ways with letters that cannot, which is a rational impulse; but recognition works on the shape of the whole word rather than on its letters, so a word made of unambiguous letters in an unfamiliar arrangement is read more slowly than an ambiguous familiar one.
Meaning
a falling; the fall of a rhythm
From Latin cadere, to fall, through Italian and French. A cadence is the fall of a voice at the end of a phrase, then the chords that produce it, then any rhythm at all. Neither the K nor the Y changes the word; both change how quickly a stranger recognizes it.

Two syllables, stress on the first, exactly like the ordinary word. The y is in an unstressed syllable where it carries almost no sound, which is why the spelling can be changed freely.

The Titania test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Kadynce's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Titania climbed just as high around 1972, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Titania's path sketches the road Kadynce is walking now.
Kadynce sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
