Isaiha
Masculine · “the Lord is salvation”
Isaiha is Isaiah with two letters that have changed places. Nothing else about the name moves — not the sound, not the syllables, not the prophet standing behind it. The difference lives entirely on paper, which makes it one of the quietest kinds of variation there is: audible to no one, visible to everyone with a form to fill in.

The story of Isaiha
Isaiah is the longest of the prophetic books of the Hebrew Bible, and the figure it is named for worked in Jerusalem in the eighth century before the common era. The name reached English through Greek and Latin translations of the Bible, sat quietly through the Middle Ages as a scholar's name, and was taken up in earnest by English Protestants who preferred the Hebrew scriptures to the saints' calendar. Its American life is more recent and much larger, and once a name is being written often it starts being written differently — which is where a transposed h and a come from.
Meaning
the Lord is salvation
From Hebrew Yesha'yahu, built from a verb meaning to save or deliver and a short form of the divine name. It is the same construction, in the other order, as Joshua.

Three syllables, stress in the middle. The h sits in a different place from the standard spelling but does no work in either one, so the saying is unchanged.

The Socorro test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Isaiha's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Socorro climbed just as high around 1929, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Socorro's path sketches the road Isaiha is walking now.
Isaiha sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.

The trade-off
- It sounds exactly like a name every adult knows, so a child never has to teach anyone how to say it.
- The name behind it has been in continuous use for well over two thousand years.
- It comes with short forms already in circulation, including one that now works as a name on its own.
- Teachers, doctors and software will all correct it to Isaiah, and the correction will arrive again every year.
- Because the change is silent, no one learns the spelling by hearing it; it has to be given letter by letter, every time.
- A child who wants an easier life can drop into Isaiah at any point without changing how anyone says their name, and some do.
