Tyasia
Feminine
Y is the only letter in English that is routinely both a vowel and a consonant, and it is a late arrival with a strange job. French, Spanish and Polish all still call it the Greek i — i grec, i griega, igrek — because that is exactly what it was brought in to be.

The story of Tyasia
Latin acquired y specifically to write Greek loanwords, because Greek upsilon was a sound Latin did not have and could not represent. That is why the letter sits near the end of the alphabet, after the letters Latin actually needed, and why several European languages still name it after Greek. English then found other uses for it: Old English had a sound it suited, Norman scribes used it where an i would have been hard to read in a run of strokes, and it ended up doing double duty. In modern names it does both jobs, sometimes in the same word — here it is a plain vowel, and in a name like Anyia it is a consonant.

The Angelena test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Tyasia's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Angelena climbed just as high around 1909, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Angelena's path sketches the road Tyasia is walking now.
Tyasia sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.

The trade-off
- Three short forms, two of which stand alone as names.
- The ending is a word everyone already knows how to say.
- Every sound in it is ordinary English.
- There is no meaning behind the compound, only behind its ending.
- Tiasia, Tyasha and Tyesha are all in use, so the spelling will be given.
- It belongs to a narrow band of years and dates the bearer to them.
