Trinitee
Feminine · “Latin trinitas”

The story of Trinitee
The word was made for a doctrine. Tertullian appears to have coined trinitas in Latin around the year 200 to express what Christians were already saying about God, and for the next eighteen centuries it stayed a term of theology, given to churches, colleges and feast days but not to children. That is a meaningful abstention: a tradition perfectly willing to name a daughter Faith or Grace would not name her for the Godhead itself. The name enters American use in March 1999, when The Matrix opened with a character called Trinity, and both the standard spelling and its variants rise together immediately afterwards. Trinitee peaks in 2000. It is one of the fastest and most clearly attributable arrivals in the modern data, and one of the few cases where a film named a doctrine rather than a person.
Meaning
Latin trinitas, threeness
From Latin trinitas, from trinus, threefold, coined by Tertullian around the year 200 to name the Christian doctrine of one God in three persons. It was a technical theological term and not a personal name until the late twentieth century. The Trinitee spelling is an American respelling; its peak is 2000.

The Darthy test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Trinitee's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Darthy climbed just as high around 1927, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Darthy's path sketches the road Trinitee is walking now.
