The story of Isis
Isis gathers the scattered body of Osiris and conceives Horus by him — a story of resurrection at the center of Egyptian religion. Her cult spread through the Hellenistic world and had temples in Rome, London and the Rhine. The name was used in American records from the 1990s; its use collapsed after 2014 for reasons of acronym rather than history.
Meaning
throne
From the Egyptian Aset or Iset, 'throne' — her hieroglyph is a throne, and she was understood as the seat of kingship itself. The Greek form Isis is what reached Europe. The Egyptian word is ordinary and the reading is undisputed among Egyptologists.

The Corey test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Isis's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Corey climbed just as high around 1986, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Corey's path sketches the road Isis is walking now.

The trade-off
- One of the most significant deities of the ancient world carries it.
- The throne etymology is concrete and its hieroglyph shows it directly.
- Two clean syllables with no pronunciation risk.
- The acronym adopted by an armed group after 2014 has made the name difficult.
- Its use in American records fell sharply from that year.
- That association is unrelated to the goddess but is unavoidable now.
