Our story of Genora
Nora, the name at its end, is the Irish short form of Honora and Eleanor, and one Nora changed English literature. Nora Barnacle, a hotel chambermaid from Galway, first walked out with a young writer called James Joyce on a June day in Dublin, and he set the whole of Ulysses on that date, which readers now celebrate as Bloomsday. Genora puts a soft G in front of that Irish Nora, and the result sounds like a name that has been waiting in an old family Bible to be read aloud again.
