Our story of Delvin
Ours, offered as ours. The Dealbhna were an early Irish population group scattered across several territories, and the barony of Delvin preserves their name; groups of that kind — the Dál Riata, the Uí Néill, the Eóganachta — were the basic political units of early Ireland before counties existed. Delvin as a modern American name probably comes from the De- workshop instead, and the Irish people are worth naming for their own sake.

The Chet test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Delvin's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Chet climbed just as high around 1963, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Chet's path sketches the road Delvin is walking now.
Delvin sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
