The story of Deklin
Declan of Ardmore is one of the four pre-Patrician saints of Ireland, credited with converting the Déisi of Waterford before Patrick's mission; his well and oratory at Ardmore are still a pilgrimage site. The name stayed Irish and local for centuries and then rose extraordinarily in American use from 2000, entering the top hundred within a decade. That climb produced respellings, and Deklan, Deklin, Declyn and Decklan all appear in the 2010s; Deklin peaks in 2015, inside the parent name's crest.
