The story of Corvin
Matthias Corvinus ruled Hungary from 1458 and built one of the great Renaissance libraries north of the Alps; his family took the name from a raven with a ring in its beak on their arms. The Roman cognomen behind it belonged to Marcus Valerius Corvus, who was said to have fought a duel with a raven's help. Corvin appears in American records recently and is a modern revival.

The Juanjose test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Corvin's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Juanjose climbed just as high around 1987, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Juanjose's path sketches the road Corvin is walking now.
Corvin sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
