Our story of Roselie
Ours, offered as ours. The Rosalia was a Roman festival at which roses were laid on graves — the flower was associated with the dead long before it was associated with romance, and the custom of putting flowers on a grave descends directly from it. Rosalia became a saint's name in Sicily, where Santa Rosalia is the patron of Palermo. The rose picked up its modern meaning much later.
Meaning
rose
From Latin rosa, the flower, itself borrowed from an eastern Mediterranean source and related to Greek rhodon. Rosalia was a Roman festival of roses for the dead, and the name comes from it rather than directly from the flower.

The Lorrene test

Line the two peaks up, and Lorrene's path sketches the road Roselie is walking now.
Roselie sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
