The story of Olivea
Olives are why the olive branch means what it does. The tree takes years to come into bearing and lives for centuries, so planting one is an act that only makes sense in peacetime — an army that expects to be back next season does not plant olives. Greek and Roman use of the branch as a sign of peace follows from that, and so does the dove returning to Noah with a leaf. The trees themselves are extraordinary: several living olives are credibly over two thousand years old, and because they regenerate from the root a single organism can outlive every trunk it has ever grown, which makes the age of the oldest genuinely hard to settle.
Meaning
olive
From Latin oliva, the olive tree and its fruit, which Latin took from Greek elaia. Olivia is the English form, credited to Shakespeare, and Olivea is an American respelling of it. The name is the tree, and the tree carries the associations.

The Arisa test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Olivea's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Arisa climbed just as high around 1992, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Arisa's path sketches the road Olivea is walking now.
Olivea sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.

The trade-off
- A settled Latin meaning naming a tree anyone can point at.
- Three short forms of very different registers, two of them full names elsewhere.
- The name is recognized in Italian, Spanish, French and German with only the ending shifting.
- Olivia is overwhelmingly the standard spelling and this one will be corrected for life.
- Olivia has been one of the most given names in the country for two decades, which places the bearer in time.
- The ea changes nothing audible, so the whole cost of it is paid for appearance.
