The story of Kaziah
The book of Job ends with the restoration of everything Job has lost, and the text pauses to name his three daughters — Jemimah, Keziah and Keren-happuch — and to record that he gave them an inheritance alongside their brothers, which was not the ordinary practice. All three names are about beauty or fragrance. English Puritans took up all three, and Keziah in particular traveled to New England and stayed in American use, spelled Keziah, Kezia, Kaziah and Kissiah at various times and places.
Meaning
cassia; the spice bark
Hebrew Qetsi'ah names cassia, the aromatic bark of a tree related to cinnamon, which was a serious trade commodity in the ancient Near East and an ingredient in the holy anointing oil described in Exodus. The reading is documented and not disputed. Kaziah is an English spelling variant of Keziah.

The Siana test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Kaziah's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Siana climbed just as high around 2007, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Siana's path sketches the road Kaziah is walking now.
Kaziah sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.

The trade-off
- A documented biblical name with a concrete meaning — a traded spice rather than a virtue.
- Kizzy and Zia are both real short forms with records of their own.
- Distinctive without being invented, which the biblical stock offers more often than most.
- Keziah is the standard spelling and this one will be corrected in writing.
- The English and Hebrew pronunciations are very different, so the child may hear both.
- Kaziah, Keziah, Kezia and Kissiah all circulate and none is dominant in this spelling.
