The story of Jahleel
Genesis lists the households that came into Egypt, and Jahleel is one of Zebulun's three sons — the whole of his record. Names like this survived because the lists were read aloud for centuries and because Puritan naming raked the genealogies for material nobody else was using. It appears in American records from the 1990s, largely in African-American families, alongside Jamal and Jaheim.

The Brewster test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Jahleel's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Brewster climbed just as high around 1914, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Brewster's path sketches the road Jahleel is walking now.
Jahleel sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
