The story of Damaris
Damaris Cudworth, daughter of a Cambridge philosopher, became Lady Masham, wrote books on the love of God and on the education of women, and corresponded with Leibniz. John Locke lived in her household in Essex for his last years and died there with her reading the Psalms to him. English speakers stress the name on its first syllable, DAM-uh-ris, while Spanish speakers, among whom it is now much used, say da-MA-ris. The name is recorded for a very few boys, but it is a woman's name almost everywhere.

Damaris's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Dominque climbed just as high around 1985, and its whole arc is on record.
