From Æthelthryth to Audrina
The story of Audrina
Æthelthryth was a seventh-century queen who founded the abbey at Ely and became one of the most venerated Anglo-Saxon saints. English speech wore her name down to Audrey. The -ina elaboration is modern and American: Audrina appears in the registers only from the 2000s, rising after a reality television series made it visible, and peaked around 2009.
Meaning

Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Audrina's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Leanne climbed just as high around 1966, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Leanne's path sketches the road Audrina is walking now.
