Our story of Alaura
Ours, offered as ours. The laurel behind Laura is a real and specific tree, and the wreath made from it was the highest ordinary honor Rome gave — to a general on the day of his triumph and, later, to poets, which is where the poet laureate comes from. Petrarch's Laura made the name literary. Alaura adds an opening vowel, which softens the front and gives the name an extra syllable. The tree is still in there.

laurel
Laura is documented: from Latin laurus, the bay laurel, whose leaves made the wreath given to poets and triumphant generals. Whether Alaura was built on it deliberately or assembled from the A- and -aura pieces of modern naming is not recorded.
