Our story of Taylen
Ours, offered as ours. Tailoring was a genuinely skilled trade — cutting cloth badly wasted material that cost more than the labor — and the surname Taylor is among the commonest in England for that reason. American naming took Taylor for both sexes in the 1980s, clipped it to Tay, and began building outward: Taylen, Taylan, Taylin. The medieval cutter is at the far end of that and would not recognize any of it.
Meaningnot established
Not established
No source is established. Taylor is documented: from Old French tailleur, a cutter of cloth, and the surname records a real and skilled trade. The -len ending is a modern American suffix rather than a meaningful element.

The Jeneane test
Every popular name lives one long story — a climb, a peak, a slow settling back. Taylen's later chapters haven't been written yet, so we borrowed them: Jeneane climbed just as high around 1931, and its whole arc is on record. Line the two peaks up, and Jeneane's path sketches the road Taylen is walking now.
Taylen sits in the calm middle of the cycle — neither chasing a wave nor sliding off one. Middle-of-the-cycle names age slowly and predictably.
