The story of Talor
Zachary Taylor, a general called Old Rough and Ready, became president and died after a hot Fourth of July in Washington, having eaten cherries and drunk iced milk at a ceremony; the cause of his death was debated for so long that his body was exhumed and tested more than a century later. His surname, the tailor's, became a first name for boys and then far more for girls. Talor drops its y, and nothing records why.
