Our story of Kashia
Kashi is the oldest name of Varanasi, the city on the Ganges where pilgrims have come to bathe for thousands of years, and it is usually explained as 'the shining one'. Kashia was not taken from it; it came from the Keshias and Kasias of American and Polish families. But it opens on the same bright sound, and the image of a city of light on a great river is a lovely one to carry.
