Our story of Jennessa
In 1850 P. T. Barnum brought Jenny Lind, the 'Swedish Nightingale', to America for a concert tour, and the first ticket for her New York debut was sold at auction for a small fortune; there were Jenny Lind hats, gloves, cradles and pianos, and towns named for her. Jennessa carries that friendly Jen and lengthens it with the -essa of the late twentieth century. It sounds both old and new.
