Our story of Drena
In 1901 the chemist Jokichi Takamine isolated the hormone of the adrenal glands and his company sold it as Adrenalin; because that name was a trademark, American medicine adopted the other name, epinephrine, and still uses it, while Britain kept adrenaline. Drena was not built from the hormone, but the word's middle holds its sound: quick, bright, with a rush in it. It is a short name with energy.
