Deborha
Feminine · “a bee”
Deborha is Deborah with its last two letters exchanged, and the letter that ends up in the wrong place was never doing much anyway. The h at the end of Deborah, Sarah, Hannah and Leah is not an English sound. It is a transliteration convention — a way of marking a Hebrew letter that English has no equivalent for — and it has been silently confusing English spellers for four hundred years.

The story of Deborha
The spelling peaks in the middle 1950s, and so did the woman most Americans would have thought of on hearing the name. Deborah Kerr had come out of British films into Hollywood and spent that decade in the largest pictures being made — a governess in Siam, a wife on a beach in Hawaii, a woman waiting at the top of the Empire State Building. Her name was on more cinema posters in those years than in any decade before or since. Whether that is why an unusual spelling of it appears in the record in exactly those years cannot be proved, but the two curves are hard to look at separately.
Meaning
a bee
The Hebrew word is straightforward and the name is one of the oldest in the Bible. The final letter is where the spelling gets interesting. Hebrew has a letter that is sounded at the start of a syllable and silent at the end of a word, and translators chose to write it as h regardless, which is why so many biblical women's names in English end in a letter nobody pronounces. Move that letter one place to the left, as this spelling does, and nothing at all changes in the mouth.

Fashion outlook
Deborha sits outside the current charts, and that is its own kind of answer: naming cycles can only date the names they carried up. A name this rare has no decade stamped on it — it cannot go out of fashion, because it was never in.
