Where it comes from

The story of Christipher

After the Great Fire of 1666 Christopher Wren designed fifty-one London churches and the new St Paul's Cathedral, and he is buried in its crypt under a plain stone whose Latin inscription tells visitors that if they seek his monument, they should look around. Christopher Robin Milne, the real boy in his father's Winnie-the-Pooh stories, found the fame a burden at school and later ran a bookshop in Dartmouth, writing about how hard it had been to be Christopher Robin. Christipher is one of the spellings American families wrote down in the years when Christopher was everywhere.
