Our story of Ajia
Japanese borrowed the European word Asia and, since its sound system has no zh, said it Ajia, writing it in katakana, the script for foreign words. Ajia, the American name, was not taken from Japanese; it came from Asia and Aja and the soft sounds of its era. But it happens to be the whole continent's name in the language of the islands at its eastern edge, which is a wide thing for a small name to hold.

Fashion outlook
Ajia sits outside the current charts, and that is its own kind of answer: naming cycles can only date the names they carried up. A name this rare has no decade stamped on it — it cannot go out of fashion, because it was never in.
