Our story of Adra
Adra, a town on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusia, began as Abdera, a Phoenician trading post; tradition holds that Boabdil, the last Muslim sultan of Granada, sailed from there to exile in Africa after he surrendered his city. Adra, the American name, came from the names of its own day, perhaps Audra or Adah. But it shares its letters with a very old harbor.
