How it traveled
There are Easton villages in Suffolk, Hampshire, Somerset, Norfolk and beyond, each one named simply for lying east of a neighboring settlement. Families who came from those places carried the name as a surname, and it settled in North America early enough to be attached to a town in Pennsylvania.
