Renetta
Feminine · “reborn”
Renetta puts an Italian ending on a French name, which neither language would do. French has its own diminutives and Italian has its own base names, and the combination here is American: take a name that sounds elegant, add an ending that sounds elegant, and do not worry about whether they come from the same place. The base is the same word as renaissance.

The story of Renetta
The Latin word meant born again and was used by early Christians about baptism, which they understood as exactly that: a second birth, replacing the first. It became a personal name on that basis, one of a small group of names that are theological statements rather than descriptions. Centuries later the same word was applied, in French and then in English, to the recovery of classical learning, on the argument that antiquity had been born again after a long death. Nobody living through it called it that; the label was applied afterwards by historians who wanted a shape for the period. So a woman's name and the name of an age are the same word, used once about a person entering a faith and once about a continent rediscovering its own past, several hundred years apart.
Meaning
reborn
The French name descends from a Latin word meaning born again, and so does the word for the period of European history that everyone knows. They are the same word, arriving in English by different routes and at different times, one as a name and one as a label for an age. The -etta ending is an Italian diminutive with no meaning beyond smallness or affection, and it does not change the sense of the base.

Pronouncing Renetta
ruh-NET-uh
Three syllables with the stress in the middle. Italian would double the t audibly and hold it; English does not, so the doubled consonant here is doing the ordinary English job of marking the vowel before it as short.
