Our story of Jeyden
Our story of Jeyden is a story of a family with more members than any other. Aiden rose in the 1990s and by 2010 had produced Jayden, Brayden, Kayden, Zayden, Hayden, Cayden and dozens of respellings of each — one of the largest rhyme groups the American registers have recorded. Jeyden is a late variation on Jayden. The Irish fire god at the root of it all is real; nothing of him survives here, and that is worth saying plainly.
Meaningnot established
Not established
No established etymology. Jayden is a modern American coinage on the Aiden pattern; the Irish Aodh, 'fire', that started the family does not survive in it. Occasional attributions to the Hebrew Jadon are made but are not documented. Honest sources record it as a coinage.

About 1 boy in 17,609 born in 2025 was given one of these spellings — against 1 in 20,579 for Jeyden itself.
Spellings are grouped by a fixed rule that folds interchangeable English spellings of one sound (ck/k, ph/f, x/ks, a non-initial y for i) and keeps vowels apart, so Sean and Shawn stay separate names. It errs towards splitting: a family here is never larger than the truth. SSA national data, 2025. Method

The Marice test

Line the two peaks up, and Marice's path sketches the road Jeyden is walking now.
