The story of Harve
Harvey came to England with Breton followers of William the Conqueror and became both a first name and a surname. Harve Presnell, a baritone from California, sang They Call the Wind Maria in the film of Paint Your Wagon and, decades later, played the hard-bitten father-in-law in Fargo. Harve drops the final syllable of Harvey, and no record says who first wrote it that way.

Fashion outlook
Harve sits outside the current charts, and that is its own kind of answer: naming cycles can only date the names they carried up. A name this rare has no decade stamped on it — it cannot go out of fashion, because it was never in.
