Casondra
Feminine
Casondra carries one of the oldest names in European literature and one of the least explained. Cassandra's story is famous and her name is not: three or four etymologies have been proposed for it, all of them strained, and the likeliest answer is that it is older than Greek and came into the language with the people the Greeks found already living there.

The story of Casondra
The name has become an English word. To call somebody a Cassandra is to say that their warnings are correct and will be ignored, and the term is used in economics, epidemiology and politics without anyone thinking about Troy. What is interesting is how the sense narrowed. In the original story the curse is specific — she sees the future accurately and is never believed, both at once — but the English word has drifted towards meaning a pessimist, which is not the same thing at all. A Cassandra in a boardroom is somebody being gloomy. A Cassandra in the play is somebody who is right.

Not established
The usual gloss puts together a rare verb about excelling and the Greek word for a man, giving something like she who excels over men. It is not convincing — the verb is obscure and the compound is not formed the way Greek normally forms them. A great many names in the Trojan cycle behave like this, resisting explanation in Greek while sounding entirely at home in it, and the accepted view now is that they belong to an older language of the Aegean that nobody can read.

Fashion outlook
Casondra sits outside the current charts, and that is its own kind of answer: naming cycles can only date the names they carried up. A name this rare has no decade stamped on it — it cannot go out of fashion, because it was never in.
