The story of Anetta
Annette Kellerman, an Australian swimmer and later a film star, insisted on swimming in a fitted one-piece suit at a time when women were expected to go into the water in skirts and stockings, and the story of her arrest on a Boston beach became part of her legend. A generation later, Annette Funicello became the best-known of the Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club and then the star of the beach films. Anetta takes the name with a single n and an Italian-style ending.
